Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Eggy-Wegs

 

Ingredients

 

·       2 cups uncooked macaroni elbows

 

·       1 onion, finely chopped

·       1 stick of butter

 

·       4 eggs

·       2 ½ cups of milk

·       1 tsp salt

·       ¼ tsp pepper

 

·       2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

 

 

Directions

 

1.    Cook macaroni noodles as directed on the package; then drain.

 

Meanwhile,

2.    Saute the onions in the butter until soft

3.    Beat together the eggs, milk, salt and pepper in a separate bowl

 

When the macaroni noodles are done,

4.    Add the cheese to the cooked and drained macaroni, stir until it melts

5.    Add the onion mixture to the macaroni and cheese, stir

6.    Put the macaroni mixture in a large glass casserole dish

7.    Pour the milk and egg mixture over the mac and cheese

 

8.    Cook, uncovered, at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes to 1 hour
