Chocolate Cookies with Peanut Butter Chips

 

Ingredients

 

·        1 ¼ cup butter (2 ½ sticks)

·        2 cups sugar

·        2 eggs

·        2 teaspoons vanilla

 

·        2 cups flour

·        ¾ cup cocoa

·        1 teaspoon baking soda

·        ½ teaspoon salt

 

·        1 2/3 cups peanut butter chips (10 oz. package)

 

Directions

 

1.     Heat oven to 350.

2.     Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until fluffy.

3.     Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

4.     Gradually add flour mixture, beating well.

5.     Stir in peanut butter chips.

 

6.     Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.

 

7.     Bake 8 to 9 minutes.  (Do not overbake; cookies will be soft.  They will puff while baking and flatten while cooling).

 

8.     Makes about 4 ½ dozen cookies.

 

 

PAN RECIPE: 

 

6. Spread batter in greased 15 ½ by 10 ½ by 1 inch jelly roll pan. 

7.  Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until set.  Cool completely in pan on wire rack; cut into bars.

8.  Makes about 4 dozen bars.
